LARRY FESSENDEN (producer, CEO) Larry Fessenden, winner of the 1997 Someone to Watch Spirit Award, and nominee for the 2010 Piaget Spirit Award for producing, is the writer, director and editor of the award-winning art-horror trilogy HABIT (Nominated for 2 Spirit Awards), WENDIGO and NO TELLING. His recent film, THE LAST WINTER (Nominated for a 2007 Gotham Award for best ensemble cast), premiered at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival and was distributed through IFC. Fessenden directed SKIN AND BONES for NBC TV's horror anthology FEAR ITSELF and BENEATH for Chiller films. He wrote the screenplay with Guillermo del Toro of ORPHANAGE, an English language remake of the successful Spanish film EL ORFANATO.He is co-creator with Glenn McQuaid of the audio-drama series TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE, now in its third season (2010—present). Fessenden was awarded the 2007 Sitges Film Festival Maria Award for his work as a producer, actor and director in genre film, and he won the 2009 Golden Hammer Award for “being such an inspiring force in the industry.” In 2011, Fessenden was inducted into the "Fangoria Hall of Fame" and was honored by the UK’s Total Film as an Icon of Horror during the Frightfest Film Festival. Fessenden has operated the production company Glass Eye Pix since 1985 (“one of the indie scene’s most productive and longest-running companies” — Filmmaker Magazine), with the mission of supporting individual voices in the arts.
PETER PHOK (producer) Peter Phok has produced a number of films for Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix and its Scareflix banner, including Fessenden's BENEATH (for Chiller Films) and Ti West’s THE INNKEEPERS, distributed through Magnolia’s genre distribution arm Magnet. A graduate of New York City’s School of Visual Arts, Peter Phok first worked on fellow SVA classmate Ti West’s THE ROOST, where he served as production manager and associate producer. Two years later, he co-produced West’s TRIGGER MAN, along with Fessenden and West. Since then, Phok has produced eight other Glass Eye Pix films, including Graham Reznick's I CAN SEE YOU, Glenn McQuaid's I SELL THE DEAD, Ti West’s THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, Joe Maggio's BITTER FEAST, and Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND which won the 2010 Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. Additionally, Phok has served as an IFP Narrative Lab Mentor in 2008, 2009, & 2010. He has produced Ti West's subsequent films THE SACREMENT and IN A VALLEY OF VIOLENCE, as well as Michael Vincent's ONLY A SWITCH.
BRENT KUNKLE (producer) Brent Kunkle recently produced Rick Alverson’s Sundance dramatic competition selection THE COMEDY, starring Tim Heidecker. His latest work includes a slate of “pulp” thrillers with Glass Eye Pix and Dark Sky Films. The pictures include Joe Maggio’s BITTER FEAST, Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND, (Midnight Madness award winner at 2010’s Toronto Int’l FF); and James Felix McKenney’s HYPOTHERMIA starring Michael Rooker. Brent began his career assisting at indie non-profit film champion IFP, and then joined Iridium Entertainment for a short period as a producer’s and development assistant. He later transitioned into film production as production coordinator and music supervisor on LIBERTY KID (Winner of Best Picture at the 2007 NY Int’l Latino Film Festival), produced by Mike S. Ryan and Larry Fessenden. In 2007, Brent began working full-time for Fessenden at Glass Eye Pix. There he has served as line producer on I SELL THE DEAD, starring Dominic Monaghan and Ron Perlman and production supervisor on Ti West’s THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL. He co-produced JT Petty’s short film BLOOD RED EARTH and produced Graham Reznick’s 3D short film THE VIEWER. He is produced Aram Garriga’s feature documentary, AMERICAN JESUS and Adrian Garcia Bogliano's LATE PHASES.
JENN WEXLER (producer) Jenn Wexler most recently wrapped principal photography on Mickey Keating’s DARLING. Prior to that, she produced Michael Vincent’s upcoming ONLY A SWITCH, Glenn McQuaid and Graham Reznick’s segments for Chiller TV’s CHILLING VISIONS: 5 STATES OF FEAR, and Larry Fessenden's segment of ABCs OF DEATH 2. She was Associate Producer on Fessenden’s BENEATH as well as Glass Eye Pix’s TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE, and she served as Post-Production Coordinator on Ti West's THE SACRAMENT. Jenn started working in the genre at FEARnet, Sony & Lionsgate's former TV channel dedicated to horror, and she's directed short films that have played US and international horror fests. She is an IFP Narrative Labs Fellow.
